Minecraft – PC Gamer UK’s Game Of The Year

As a teenager, I read PC Gamer compulsively. Not only did they give me access to game demos before the internets got big, but they also had a very strange British sense of humor, something which I’ve always loved (Monty Python, Bill Bailey, Eddie Izzard, Father Ted (see the important edit below!), Queen Elizabeth II). Oh, and they reviewed games.

I remember getting the first episode of They Hunger on a cover disk, something which reeks of indie development, made way before it was “cool”, and people just made games because they liked to.

And now they went and named Minecraft Game of the Year. That’s huge. We’re talking “getting a hug from Bruce Campbell”-huge. It’s so big, I have to use an emoticon! :D

If you excuse me, I will go grin until next year now.

:D

[IMPORTANT EDIT:]
Turns out the team that made Father Ted were Irish! Ireland is now officially better than England.

I’m sorry if that offends anyone, but Father Ted is the funniest thing ever made. And that’s a fact.
