And software sound is now gone
Minecraft now uses OpenAL only.
If it fails to start OpenAL for any reason, it’ll set the options for sound and music to off.
So if your game
crashes the first time you start it, it’ll remember that it crashed, but if you turn on either sound or music again,
it’ll blow up again.
