Copyboy’s been working on a crazy sweet mod for Minecraft Classic, with a custom server with actual working portals and textures based on work by Cosine.

Unfortunately, it’s a bit tricky to get the custom textures installed, but this mod has convinced me that I need to add the ability for servers to download a custom texture pack to the client in Minecraft.
I’ve played it for a bit, and I’ve watched ez play it for even longer, and I love it. :D Great job, guys!
